Our regularly scheduled Thirsty Thursday events have come to an end. We hope to see you at our other events!
Keep your eyes open for occasional “Throwback Thursday” events that will be happening throughout the year – these will be restaurant style events set up similar to our Thirsty Thursday, 5:00 – 9:00 pm restaurant style dining events were.

1st Sunday of the Month

Maker’s Day at the Nome Schoolhouse

Join us each month for a fun afternoon of making from 1:00 -5:00 pm.
Bring your own project and create in community. Whether it is a project that has been difficult to start or a half finished creation that has been pushed to the bottom of your to do list.
Our experienced staff and volunteers are available to help and encourage you.

Thursday, July 4th

Nome’s City Wide 4th of July

Come and join us for a BIG celebration and a small-town Fourth of July. With activities for all ages all day long – there is something for everyone to enjoy. The parade often sees 50+ entries and the fireworks show is one you won’t want to miss.

An Event Partnership with Designer Boutique & the City of Nome


4th of July Schedule of Events:

10:30 am – Designer Boutique Opens (open until 3:30 pm)
10:30 am – 2:00 pm – Kid’s Activities at The City Park
11:00 am – Nome Schoolhouse Opens – Food & Bar Available – 4th of July Candy Bags Available (limited supply)
(Dining Room Open: 11:00 am – 1:45pm, and then After the Parade until 5:00 pm)

11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Horse and Wagon Shuttles between the Nome Schoolhouse and Designer Boutique/City Park.
(With a slight break before and during the parade.)

2:00 pm – The Parade starts!
(Free to enter! – Parade Line-Up starts at 1:30 pm on  the corner of 51st St SE and 1st St S. Please, drive in on 51st St SE in order to turn NE on 1st St for an easy entry onto the parade route. Day-of entries welcome, pre-registration appreciated! Register your float, car, group, or other vehicle by June 27th and receive a 4th of July SWAG bag at line-up. 3:00 pm – Nome Schoolhouse Gym & Bar Open
4:00 pm – Little Miss Liberty and Uncle Sam kid’s pageant in the Gym
(Free to enter – fun for kids ages 0 – 12. Winners picked by random drawing)

5:00 pm – Free Will Supper sponsored by the City of Nome served in the Nome Schoolhoues Gym. Donations to support Nome’s 125th Anniversary in 2026.
Following Supper – Family Activities in the Gym

5:30 pm – Cornhole Tournament Registration in the Gym
$20 Entry Fee Per Team. 100% payout split to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners

6:00 pm – Cornhole Tournament Starts – located on the back lawn of the Nome Schoolhouse

6:00 pm – Whimsical Art Projects for Kids, Teens, and Adults put on by Designer Boutique – located at the Schoolhouse

And the Grand Finale – Fireworks at Dusk!

The Benson Family Singers Concert

Join us as we welcome the Benson Family Singers to Nome!
This family-friendly bluegrass and more concert is sure to delight. 
Tickets: $15 per person when purchased online –  $20 at the door – kids ages 3 and under are free if they will be sitting on a lap.

Concert starts at 7:00 pm. All seats are general admission. Event Center Doors open at 6:40 pm.  (The Nome Schoolhouse main-level will be open prior to the event center doors opening.)
