The inspiration for this kit is the South wall of the Schoolhouse gymnasium. The entire wall was wove with wool for sound control as well as beauty. The North Dakota endless prairies are the inspiration for the wall.
You will be using wool roving as your weft threads. The WEFT is what you weave between the warp threads horizontally, creating your patterns and structure of the project.
This kit will provide you the opportunity to continue your weaving journey. The loom that is included is pre-warped. WARP are the yarns that are strung vertially on the loom. They hold the tension as you weave & creat the backbone of your finished project. When you complete this project you can wave another by warping the loom again. Instructions are included on how to do so.
This kit includes everything you need to create your own version of the wall woven with wool in the Nome Schoolhouse gymnasium: White Wool Roving, Grey Roving, Light Brown Roving, Dark Brown Roving, Warped Loom, All Weaving Tools. If its desired, you will need to source a dowel or stick.
