The softly felted core naturally contours and molds to the unique shape of your foot over time, providing customized support with every step. Because we preserve the natural state of the premium fibers, these insoles come in beautiful, organic sheep and alpaca shades (colors will vary naturally from pair to pair). Note: As a natural, minimally processed fiber product, you may notice a slight, normal shedding when first breaking them in.

What are Dakota Sole insoles made of?

Dakota Sole insoles are made from 100% natural North Dakota alpaca wool. They are processed locally in our independent fiber mill. The Dakota Sole Plus variant also contains a proprietary core layer of activated charcoal, baking soda, and cornstarch to neutralize odor.

What is the difference between Dakota Sole and Dakota Sole Plus?

The Original Dakota Sole is designed for standard daily warmth and cushion, and it can be easily trimmed to fit any shoe. The Dakota Sole Plus is engineered for high-activity or heavy-duty work boots, incorporating a felted-in compound of baking soda, cornstarch, and activated charcoal designed to actively destroy foot odor.

How do you size and fit Dakota Sole wool insoles?

These insoles are manufactured in a universal size layout. To fit them to your footwear, simply remove the factory insole from your shoe or boot, place it over the Dakota Sole wool insole as a template, and trim along the edges with a pair of scissors for a perfect custom fit.
