About Our Venue
A memorable event requires a far-from-normal event space. Nome Schoolhouse, originally built in 1916, was renovated by our team in 2021 and turned into a one-of-a-kind event space with workshops, a working fiber mill, 11-room lodging, an exceptional restaurant, and more.
"Driving in, we weren’t sure what to expect, but seeing the schoolhouse lit by the setting sun immediately revealed its charm. Inside, the common areas and our room exceeded expectations, with every wall telling the story of its history and restoration. In the morning, we explored the building while our host prepared breakfast with care. Before leaving, we picked up a handmade Christmas ornament in the gift shop. We make the cross-country trip every year and can’t wait to stay at Nome Schoolhouse Inn again."
"I've been here multiple times teaching workshops. It's definitely a working vacation, because the accommodations and food are outstanding. The renovation of this historic site is top notch. Each room has its own theme. The views are great, and there are many ways to relax outside and inside. Don't miss the chance to tour the working fiber mill."

"We found this gem on a recent trip to North Dakota. Loved the remodeled schoolhouse and all the history they kept inside. Rooms were very nice and wonderfully decorated. So quiet and peaceful. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Breakfast was served the next morning and it was delicious. Beds were very comfortable.
